Kookaburra Hideaway is a family-owned property, hidden between the mountains of the Hunter Valley region. Our hidden gem is nestled on 25 acres of native land, overlooking the breathtaking ranges of the Brokenback Mountains. We offer stunning onsite accommodation across the entire property, and boast an incredible country wedding venue; The Wedding Shed.

Our goal is to provide you with the experience of a lifetime! From affordable DIY contracts to inclusive packages and all the way up to supplying you with a personal wedding planner – we can cater to your every need and desire.
Our Story
Kookaburra Hideaway became our home the moment we laid eyes on it. The wildlife, the native plants and gum trees drew us in with a magic we still feel and share with everyone who visits. After building the main house of Kookaburra Hideaway and sharing it across various accommodation platforms, we hosted our first wedding in 2003 . Soon, we began work on The Wedding Shed, and now over six years later we are still sharing our special slice of Hunter Valley Heaven with beautiful couples from all over.
